June Summary in Vlora: 65 Arrested and Over 700 Narcotic Doses Seized

The Vlora police have published the activity report for June 2026, highlighting 254 registered criminal offenses. Of these, 240 have been solved, reflecting a clearance rate of 94.5%.

According to data presented by police director Edvin Ndreu, during this period 280 suspected perpetrators were identified. Of these, 65 individuals were arrested or detained, 206 were processed at large, and 9 others were declared wanted.

During the month, several special operations were carried out targeting criminal groups, trafficking of prohibited substances, and theft perpetrators. These actions led to the arrest of high-risk individuals, including persons wanted even internationally.

As a result of checks, 6 firearms, 4 cold weapons, and 138 cartridges were seized. Additionally, over 700 doses of narcotic substances such as cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, cannabis, ecstasy, and “Tusi” were seized, along with five assets of considerable value.

In the field of road safety, 65 criminal violations were recorded and 18 accidents occurred, resulting in three fatalities. Police imposed over 15,000 administrative measures and arrested 14 drivers for serious traffic violations.

Meanwhile, the Border Police reported a significant increase in tourist movements. At the county’s border points, over 202,000 citizens and about 40,000 vehicles were processed, while 1,555 watercraft were inspected. After checks, 66 vehicles were blocked and 68 administrative measures were imposed for maritime safety violations.

Authorities have announced that security measures will be significantly increased during the tourist season, increasing police presence and continuous monitoring on roads, at the border, and along the coastline.
