Jashari attends the USAREUR-AF change of command ceremony

Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, took part in the change of command ceremony of the United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF), organized at the invitation of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and at the same time Commander of the United States European Command (EUCOM), General Alexus G. Grynkewich.

According to a KSF statement, the ceremony included the handover of duties from General Christopher T. Donahue.

During the event, Jashari expressed his gratitude for Donahue’s leadership and contribution, highlighting the continued support he has provided for the development of the KSF’s capacities and for strengthening cooperation between the two forces.

For his part, Donahue thanked the KSF commander for attending the ceremony, as well as for the close cooperation during his term. He emphasized the expansion of joint activities, including training and exercises, which have contributed to increased interoperability and partnership between the KSF and the US Army.

As part of the ceremony, Jashari also held meetings with counterparts from NATO partner countries, as well as with the deputy commander and acting commander of USAREUR-AF, Major General Christopher Norrie. During these meetings, the parties agreed to continue cooperation and increase joint activities.

The KSF said that at the end of the ceremony, the shared commitment to deepening the strategic partnership between the KSF and USAREUR-AF was reaffirmed, with the aim of advancing defense capabilities, strengthening security, and preserving stability and peace in Kosovo and the region.
