Iran claims retaliation after US strikes: 85 American bases targeted in Bahrain and Kuwait

In response to the latest strikes carried out by the United States on Iranian territory, Iran says it has targeted 85 American military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait.

According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), this action came after Washington, in its view, committed a “violation of the ceasefire” by striking several targets in southern Iran.

Before that, Bahrain and Kuwait had activated missile warning sirens, at a time when Tehran had announced that it would respond to the US military operation with a “devastating response.”

For its part, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had struck more than 80 Iranian targets, including military positions and Revolutionary Guard assets. Washington said the operation was retaliation for the attacks on three tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

So far, there is still no independent verification regarding the extent of the damage claimed by Iran, or the number of American targets said to have been hit in Bahrain and Kuwait.
