Interior Ministry clarifies violence against 12-year-old in Aerodrom, criminal charges against minors and their parents

North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry said it has clarified the incident that took place several days ago, on June 30, when a minor was physically assaulted in a park in the Municipality of Aerodrom while other people recorded the scene.

According to the statement, the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs clarified the case of 30.06.2026, in which a 12-year-old girl was physically attacked by several minors in a park in the Aerodrom municipality, while other minors present there were filming with mobile phones.

The Interior Ministry said the Aerodrom and Drachevo Police Department, in coordination with the Kisela Voda Police Department, filed criminal charges with the Skopje Public Prosecutor’s Office against two minors for the criminal offense of “violence,” as stipulated and punishable under Article 386 of the Criminal Code. Criminal charges were also filed against one minor for the criminal offenses of “incitement” and “unauthorized recording,” as stipulated and punishable under Article 152 in connection with Article 386 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, as well as against another minor for the criminal offense of “unauthorized recording,” as stipulated and punishable under Article 152 in connection with Article 386 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

In the same case, criminal charges were also filed against the parents I.V., M.V., M.P., I.A. and I.A. for the criminal offense of “neglect and abuse of a child,” as stipulated and punishable under Article 201 of the Criminal Code, the Interior Ministry said.
