Institutions Still Not Constituted, Alliance and Democratic Youth Hold Symbolic Activities Outside Government Building Today

Two symbolic activities will be held today outside the Kosovo Government building, organised by the Alliance and the Democratic Youth of Kosovo.

The Alliance has announced an action at the entrance of the Government building at 11:55, while the Democratic Youth of Kosovo’s activity is scheduled for this afternoon at 17:00, also outside the Government building.

The announcements sent to the media do not contain details regarding the reason for or message intended to be conveyed by the two actions.

Kosovo’s institutions remain unconstituted following the June 7 elections.

In addition to the PDK, the Alliance is also calling for the session to constitute the Assembly to continue, and has accused the Vetëvendosje Movement of obstructing the process. On the other hand, Vetëvendosje has stated that an agreement on constituting the institutions must first be reached in order to avoid new elections.

Both the PDK and the Alliance have rejected the Vetëvendosje Movement’s invitations to meetings.

In the June 7 elections, VV won 53 seats in the Assembly, PDK 22 deputies, LDK 18, and the Alliance 7 deputies.
