Important meeting between General Jashari and German delegation, commitment to advancing the KSF confirmed

A German delegation composed of Deputy Ambassador Christian Böttcher and Tilmann Scherf, dispatched from the German Federal Foreign Office, was received in a meeting by the commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari.

In this meeting, Lieutenant General Jashari appreciated and expressed deep gratitude for the contribution of the Federal Republic of Germany, particularly noting its assistance in the establishment and strengthening of the KSF’s capacities since the force’s creation.

During the talks, a detailed review was made of the current state of the KSF, its priority needs and objectives, as well as strategic projections for the upcoming periods. Also, participants shared their assessments of the security landscape in the region and underscored the necessity of close coordination to tackle common challenges together.

Concluding the meeting, General Jashari again thanked the German representatives for their continued support in enhancing the capabilities of the Security Force. Both sides agreed on the need for even deeper cooperation and on the importance of strengthening bilateral military ties between the Republic of Kosovo and the Federal Republic of Germany.
