New human remains have been found during excavations in the Kalludër area of Zubin Potok, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced, adding that the search operation will continue in the coming weeks and months.

Speaking at the site, Kurti said that while he was there, teams discovered several additional skulls, as excavations are still underway.
He explained that the bones were found scattered along the banks of a stream, significantly complicating the process of recovering and identifying them.
According to him, it is highly likely that the stream, which swells in the spring, displaced the bodies, even though they may initially have been buried in the same place.
Their identities will be established only after DNA testing, while it is suspected that the remains may belong to 23 Albanian intellectuals who were abducted and executed in April 1999.
Kurti said the excavations would continue for many weeks, possibly even months, because the scattered bones are located near a stream that becomes powerful in the spring and may have moved the bodies from the burial site.
In his remarks, he also addressed legal proceedings related to war crimes, accusing Serbia of detaining people who have provided information about these crimes.
Finally, he thanked specialists from the Institute of Forensic Medicine and EULEX for their work in the field, stressing that Kosovo’s institutions would provide full support until the fate of those who disappeared during the war is clarified.
