An 18-year-old has been arrested in Belsh after allegedly hitting a 14-year-old girl while driving a motor vehicle without a license and then fleeing the scene.

According to the police announcement, the accident occurred at around 1:10 p.m. in the village of Shalës. The young man, identified by the initials A. N., allegedly lost control of the motor vehicle and hit the 14-year-old before fleeing.
Immediately after receiving the report, officers began searching to establish the driver’s identity and whereabouts. The 18-year-old was identified and located shortly afterward, leading to his arrest.
The minor was taken to hospital, where she continues to receive medical treatment.
The 18-year-old has been charged with “Violation of road traffic rules” and “Leaving the scene of an accident.” The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office for further action.
