Haki Imeri’s family reacts to Specialist Chambers: Appeal now awaited, Grenell also mentioned

The family of slain activist Haki Imeri has reacted to developments concerning the Specialist Chambers in The Hague and former President Hashim Thaçi.

In a post, the family claimed that Thaçi had been convinced that the Specialist Chambers would not touch him. The family also criticized political and media efforts against the court.

According to the Imeri family, the Specialist Chambers cannot be abolished, so the appeal ruling must now be awaited.

The family began its response with the word “Friends,” claiming that Edi Rama had assured Hashim Thaçi that he would not be touched by the KSC, namely the Specialist Chambers.

The post went on to say that Richard Grenell was later brought in “with the Serbian flag” to bolster the opposition to the Specialist Chambers. According to the family, he was in fact the main factor that initiated and accelerated Hashim Thaçi’s arrest.

According to the response, Grenell’s campaign also involved many “politicians” and “journalists” who attacked the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

The Imeri family described these as illusions fed to Hashim Thaçi and those who believed them.

The response emphasized that the Specialist Chambers cannot be abolished, just as they were not abolished in 2017. The family called for the appeal to be awaited, saying that with the “foolishness” currently taking place, all the chaos is being blamed on Thaçi.

Finally, the family stated that the Specialist Chambers belong to Kosovo, while their bodies belong to the US, the EU and NATO.
