Gruevski’s luxury properties with rooftop jacuzzi go to auction, prices target millionaires exclusively

The public auction for three seized apartments belonging to former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski in the “Panorama Residence” complex is scheduled for July 29, as the state expects to collect at least 2.46 million euros from the sale. Preliminary visits for interested buyers will take place on July 16, according to reports from the Sloboden Pecat newspaper. These residential units were confiscated as part of the judicial process for the “Vodno Parcels” case.

Two of the apartments stand out for their generous surface area, each around 200 square meters, with the addition of terraces measuring nearly 50 square meters. With a starting price of 850,000 euros, which translates to about 4,250 euros per square meter, the auction remains practically accessible only to buyers with colossal wealth.

The third apartment is offered at a lower value, but also with more modest dimensions: 150 square meters of living space and an enormous 95-square-meter balcony, while the starting bid price is 760,000 euros. Images published by the Agency for Management of Confiscated Property reveal spacious rooms, open terraces, luxurious details, a hot tub placed on the terrace, and unobstructed views of the city of Skopje.

Earlier, authorities had attempted to sell two of these properties, but without success, as no buyer was found. However, about a year ago, the state managed to finalize the sale of two other apartments belonging to Gruevski, located on “Bihacka” Street in the core of the capital. These assets were frozen after the conclusion of the trial for the “Vodno Parcels” affair, where former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski received a nine-year prison sentence, accused of misusing approximately 1.3 million euros from party funds, which he allegedly used to buy land and construct these buildings.
