In Janç Mal, near the border with Berat County, Gramsh firefighters joined forces with teams from Berat to bring the flames under control.
Another fire was reported in the Grabova area, above Moçale, toward Varri i Plakës and near the border with Pogradec. The rugged terrain and altitude of around 2,000 meters above sea level made the operation more difficult.
At the same time, firefighting teams also carried out an emergency operation in the Vidhan area, opposite Kërpica, after flames engulfed the area.
The Gramsh Fire Service said that, after several hours of intensive efforts, all three fires had been brought under control and no further risks had been reported.
After completing the operations, firefighters urged citizens to report any deliberate acts of arson, as well as cases of negligence that could cause fires and endanger forests, property and human lives.
“We will always be on the front line in extinguishing the flames. You can help by making sure they are not started,” the Fire Service appealed.
