Two wildfires remain active in Dibër County, one in Selishtë, part of Dibër Municipality, and the other within the territory of Bulqizë Municipality. The fire in the Selishtë area broke out in the early hours of the morning and has yet to be extinguished.

Employees from the Dibër and Bulqizë municipalities, members of the Armed Forces and State Police, Civil Emergency structures, and local residents have joined the firefighting operation.
Efforts to extinguish the fire are being hampered by terrain that prevents the movement of firefighting vehicles. Meanwhile, strong winds are fanning the flames and making it more difficult to contain the fires.
Reports today indicate that another fire is burning at Qafa e Helmes, in the Fushë-Bulqizë Administrative Unit, near the border with Selishtë. Firefighters from Bulqizë Municipality have also been mobilized to respond in this area.
Teams deployed on the ground are continuing their efforts to bring the flames under control and prevent the fire from spreading further.
