Goethe-Institut Removes Footnote for Kosovo and Lists It the Same as Other Countries

Kosovo’s Ambassador to Germany, Faruk Ajeti, announced that the Goethe-Institut has changed the way it presents the Republic of Kosovo on its platform. According to him, the institution has removed the footnote (*) and now treats Kosovo equally with all other countries.

Ajeti stressed that the change came as a result of citizens’ reactions and sustained diplomatic engagement.

“This is another clear example that civic response and active diplomacy deliver concrete results,” the ambassador wrote.

He called on citizens, should they encounter German institutions or companies where the Republic of Kosovo or its cities are not presented correctly, to send a notification to [email protected], along with relevant evidence, so that inaccuracies can be addressed and corrected.
