Former Foreign and Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka has officially been placed under investigation by SPAK for two criminal offenses.

The Socialist lawmaker is suspected of corruption and laundering the proceeds of crime, journalist Klodiana Lala reports.
Just two days ago, Xhaçka appeared before SPAK. Her husband, Artan Gaçi, had also appeared before the prosecutors and is likewise under investigation by SPAK.
The two prosecutors handling the case, Ols Dado and Altin Dumani, have found evidence against Xhaçka and her husband, Gaçi, concerning two criminal offenses.
The case originated from a letter rogatory sent by EU countries.
According to sources, the case involves corruption in relation to third parties and money laundering through Artan Gaçi’s company.
Gaçi is known as a strategic investor. The prosecutors have seized documents, obtained banking data and questioned third parties.
