Fire on the outskirts of Cërrik, olive grove parcel burns and a residence is at risk

A large-scale fire engulfed the outskirts of the city of Cërrik this Monday morning, burning areas of brambles and bushes, as well as a parcel planted with olive trees.

High temperatures and wind favored the rapid spread of the flames, which within a short time approached a residence near the area affected by the fire.

After receiving the alert, the fire service arrived at the scene and immediately began operations to extinguish the flames. The swift intervention made it possible to isolate the fire’s origin and stop its spread toward the residence and other surrounding areas.

The fire damaged the brambles, bushes, and the olive grove parcel, while the residence that was at risk sustained no damage.
