Fire in the villages of Helmas brought under control by firefighters, area continues to be monitored

After intensive and tireless efforts, operational forces have managed to bring under control the fires that broke out in the villages of Kryezi and Zikularje in Helmas.

Since the previous day, emergency teams from Kavaja, Rrogozhina and Kamza have been engaged in an ongoing battle with the flames, continuing the operation through the night and until dawn.

The fire mainly consumed areas with dense vegetation, but the determined intervention of the teams made it possible to surround and isolate the vast majority of the fire hotspots.

Today, the situation on the ground has calmed. Most of the hotspots have been completely extinguished, while a few small flames remain active in some isolated areas; at present, they pose no danger. Firefighters continue to be present in the area and are carefully monitoring the situation to prevent any possible rekindling of the fire. According to the authorities, the situation remains fully under control.
