Fire Breaks Out in the Kruja Highlands, Residents Call for Aerial Intervention

A fire broke out earlier in the area between Kroit të Madh and the village of Çudhë, in the Kruja Highlands.

The blaze has engulfed a considerable area covered with shrubs and various types of trees, while the flames are spreading rapidly, fueled by the wind.

The difficult terrain prevents firefighting vehicles from intervening from the ground. Local residents say that aerial intervention is the only way to stop the flames from advancing.

So far, no involvement by firefighting units has been reported, while the fire continues to spread and the situation remains concerning.

Residents say they are alarmed by the possibility of the flames spreading further due to the wind and the difficult terrain.
