Fire at a hotel on Vlora’s Lungomare, 7 vacationers injured – some escaped by jumping from windows

A hotel in the Lungomare area of Vlora was engulfed by a powerful fire, leaving seven people injured. Firefighters and police arrived at the scene and intervened to bring the flames under control.

The fire is suspected to have started in the premises of the restaurant on the building’s first floor before spreading to the second floor, where the hotel was located.

The situation worsened because of the flames and dense smoke, while some of the people inside the building were forced to jump from the windows to escape.

All seven injured people were urgently transported to Vlora Regional Hospital, where they received the necessary medical care. Six of them are citizens of Kosovo, while one is from Rrëshen.

Two of the injured were taken to Tirana for specialized treatment. Meanwhile, four people underwent surgery.

After the operation to completely contain the fire was completed, police and the investigative team began examining the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident.
