Finiq engulfed by flames / Fire out of control, homes threatened and beehives burned as aerial intervention begins

An alarming situation has developed in Finiq, where the massive fire has still not been brought under control. Strong winds are fueling the rapid spread of the flames.

The fire has engulfed several areas of the Municipality of Finiq and is advancing toward villages, seriously threatening homes in Mesopotam and Kostar. The fire has also spread toward areas of Delvinë, including Vllahat, raising fears of a wider expansion.

A firefighting helicopter has also joined the operation. Aerial interventions have begun with the aim of isolating the flames and preventing the fire from advancing further.
