A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Palasë after allegedly assaulting and threatening his wife during a family dispute.

The incident was reported to the Police at around 1:40 p.m. at a villa located within a complex in the Palasë area.
Following the report, Area Patrol services immediately went to the scene. Additional forces from the Dhërmi Police Station were also deployed to manage and bring the situation under control.
During the intervention at the villa, Police officers found a pistol. Subsequently, at the 40-year-old’s residence in Tirana, where a search was conducted with the support of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, two packages of military ammunition and two magazines loaded with bullets were seized.
Initial checks indicate that citizen E. K. is suspected of having assaulted and threatened his wife.
The swift response by police structures enabled the conflict to be neutralised and prevented the further escalation of a situation that could have had serious consequences.
The National Security Force, Fier Unit, arrested the 40-year-old in flagrante delicto and escorted him to police premises. Procedural actions to fully clarify the case are ongoing.
