RENEA arrests “Visi of the races” in Palasë/ From a €200,000 Audi R8 to a TNT explosion at his garage

Elvis Kosova, the 40-year-old known by the nicknames “Visi of the races” and “Visi of fast cars,” was arrested today in Palasë during an operation carried out by the Rapid Intervention Forces and RENEA. During the intervention, he was reportedly found with an unlicensed firearm.

Kosova is known to the police, as he has previous criminal records. In August 2024, he was arrested on charges of stealing a luxury Audi R8 worth €200,000.

A Turkish national was also arrested alongside him in connection with the same incident. The latter had rented the Audi R8 in Germany.

After the car entered Albanian territory, it was handed over to Elvis Kosova. According to suspicions, Kosova manipulated the circumstances with the aim of appropriating the €200,000 luxury vehicle for himself.

The Turkish national later filed a complaint with the authorities, claiming that the Audi R8 had been stolen near a hotel close to the “Air Albania” stadium in Tirana.

Elvis Kosova’s name was also mentioned in July last year, when TNT was planted at a garage he owned on “Peti” Street.

The explosive device is suspected to have been placed at the entrance gate of the 40-year-old’s garage. The explosion caused considerable material damage to several parked vehicles.
