Caught with a Firearm in Palasë: Court Rules on Elvis Kosova, 40-Year-Old Threatened and Assaulted His Wife

The Vlorë Court has ordered Elis Kosova, also known as “Visi i Garave,” to remain in custody after he was arrested in Palasë a few days ago.

The 40-year-old was arrested after threatening and assaulting his wife, while police found a handgun when they entered the home.

Officers also searched his home in Tirana, where they found and seized two packages of military-grade ammunition and two magazines containing cartridges.

“During their intervention at the home, police officers found a firearm, namely a handgun. In addition, during a search of the home in Tirana, conducted with the support of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, police found and seized as evidence two packages of military-grade ammunition and two magazines containing cartridges. Preliminary checks indicate that E. K. is suspected of assaulting and threatening his wife,” police announced on August 23.

Elvis Kosova, also known as “Visi i Garave,” is well known to the authorities. In the summer of 2025, an explosive device was placed at the entrance to his garage in the “Dry Lake” area of Tirana.

In August 2024, he was detained over the theft of a luxury Audi R8 worth around 200,000 euros, which had initially been brought from Germany by a Turkish citizen and was subsequently fraudulently appropriated by Elvis Kosova.
