Macedonia’s gross domestic product grew by 4.3% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier, the State Statistical Office announced.

The construction sector recorded the highest growth, at 21.9%. Growth of 5.1% was also recorded in the group of activities encompassing arts, entertainment and recreation, other service activities, as well as the activities of households as employers or as producers of goods and providers of services for their own needs.
Final consumption during the second quarter of 2026 recorded a nominal increase of 7.0%, while accounting for 83.2% of gross domestic product.
Gross investment expanded nominally by 14.5% during this period, driven by an increase in gross fixed-asset investment.
Seasonally and calendar-adjusted data show that gross domestic product growth in the second quarter of 2026, compared with the second quarter of 2025, was 4.0%.
