The meeting took place at a time when Albania is facing widespread criticism over governance and corruption.
In its post, the U.S. Embassy emphasized that combating international crime, drug trafficking and illegal migration are among President Donald Trump’s main priorities.
Eric Wendt discussed with SPAK officials the importance of independent institutions in addressing these challenges, as well as the role of the partnership between the two countries in building a safer and more prosperous future.
