Elbasan, Vehicle Hits Woman as She Crosses the Road

A woman was injured in an accident near Aleksandër Xhuvani University in Elbasan at around noon today after being struck by a vehicle.

Sources at the scene said the pedestrian was crossing from one side of the road to the other when she was hit by a car traveling along that section.

Following the incident, local residents and emergency crews from Elbasan Regional Hospital immediately arrived at the scene and provided first aid to the injured woman. She was then taken by ambulance to the surgical ward at Elbasan Regional Hospital, where she is receiving the necessary medical treatment.

Police officers also arrived at the scene and carried out initial procedural actions. Investigators are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident and determine responsibility.

There is still no information about the woman’s condition, while the investigation into the incident is continuing.
