Elbasan Shooting Leaves Three Injured: Gunman Abandons Pistol While Being Chased by Officer and Escapes

State Police have released official information about the shooting that occurred on Monday evening in Elbasan’s “Vullnetari” neighborhood, leaving three people injured.

The incident occurred at around 20:30 on the terrace of a bar. According to the police statement, a person who has yet to be identified opened fire with a pistol on three people.

Armand Tomorrica, 32, Renaldo Mance, 31, and Bjorgi Hoxha, 19, were injured in the shooting. All three are out of danger.

At the time of the attack, an off-duty police officer was inside the bar. After hearing the gunshots, he immediately went outside and began chasing the gunman.

While fleeing, the suspect discarded the firearm and then managed to escape deeper into the neighborhood. A large number of police officers have cordoned off a wide perimeter, while intensive searches are underway to locate and arrest him.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigative team is working to fully establish the circumstances of the incident. At the same time, evidence that will help identify and apprehend the gunman is being collected and seized.
