Three Wounded in Elbasan Bar Shooting Leave Hospital as Search for Gunman Continues and CCTV Footage Is Seized

Bjorgi Hoxha, 19, Armand Tomorrica, 32, and Renaldo Mance, 31, left the hospital just two hours after receiving medical treatment. The three young men were wounded in a shooting on Sunday evening at a bar in the “Vullnetari” (Banesat) neighborhood of Elbasan.

According to hospital sources, their injuries are not life-threatening, they are in good health, and all three have returned to their respective homes.

Preliminary information indicates that one of them suffered a minor shoulder wound, the second was shot in the leg, while the third was only grazed by a bullet.

Forensic police experts seized six shell casings at the scene, which will undergo ballistic analysis to determine the weapon used.

An off-duty police officer was also inside the bar when the shooting occurred. After hearing the gunfire, he immediately left the premises and began pursuing the gunman.

As he fled, the gunman discarded the firearm, which was found and seized by police as material evidence. However, he managed to escape deeper into the neighborhood and evade the officers pursuing him.

Investigators are examining several lines of inquiry to establish the motive and fully determine how the incident unfolded. The investigative team has seized security camera footage from the bar and nearby businesses.

The three injured men have also been questioned to reconstruct the moments of the attack in detail and help identify the gunman.

Following the shooting, a large number of police officers arrived in the area, established a security perimeter, and carried out intensive searches across a wide area.

The operation to locate and arrest the gunman is continuing. Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, procedural measures and the necessary examinations are underway to document the case, clarify all the circumstances surrounding the attack, and bring the perpetrator to justice.
