Elbasan Gun Incident, 52-Year-Old Arrested and Pistol Seized

A firearms incident was reported this Saturday at a venue in Elbasan. Police announced that they had arrested the suspected perpetrator, who allegedly attempted to kill a 50-year-old man, while the pistol used during the incident was seized as material evidence.

According to the official statement, at around 13:00, police received information that, in the outdoor area of a venue in the “28 Nëntori” neighborhood, a person had attempted to kill E. K., 50, with a firearm. Immediately after receiving the report, police services began taking action to identify and apprehend the suspect.

As part of the police operation codenamed “Reagimi,” the timely intervention and professional actions of the officers enabled the identification and arrest of P. B., 52, as the suspected perpetrator of the incident.

During the operation, police found and seized the pistol with which the 52-year-old is suspected of attempting to kill E. K. Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, investigative and procedural actions are continuing to clarify the circumstances and causes of the incident and to fully document the case from a legal standpoint.
