Drone Attack on Ozon Center in Samara, More Than 500 Employees Evacuated

A logistics center belonging to Russian e-commerce company Ozon in the Samara region caught fire overnight following a Ukrainian drone attack.

The incident was described as the “first attack” on Ozon, Russia’s second-largest e-commerce giant after Wildberries. The latter’s logistics centers have been hit several times before.

According to a company statement carried by TASS, more than 500 employees were evacuated from the facility within a few minutes. Ozon also confirmed that there were casualties, while Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, the governor of the Samara region, had earlier reported that several people were injured.

A representative of the emergency services told TASS that four people were injured in the attack on the Ozon center. One of them is in critical condition after jumping from a second-floor window.

“Doctors are operating on him,” the spokesperson said.

During the same night, Russian airstrikes in Ukraine, particularly in Kyiv, caused at least two deaths, according to local authorities.

The Kyiv military administration reported a fire at a warehouse after residents were warned of missile attacks. “According to preliminary information, one person has died and several others have been injured,” the administration said via Telegram.

In Zaporizhzhia, one man was killed and four other people were injured by a Russian drone, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration.

Across Ukraine, a series of Russian airstrikes caused at least 20 deaths. Among them were 16 people killed in a drone attack on a crowded shopping center in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
