Although the number of citizens present in the square has gradually declined, the organizers and participants insist that they will not end their protest. According to them, protecting Divjaka’s identity and opposing any decision that threatens its existence as a separate administrative unit remain their main objectives.
The residents say that so far they have received no concrete response from local government institutions or central authorities.
For this reason, they have announced that they will gather every evening in the city’s main square, demanding that the issue of Divjaka be considered and receive a response.
The 35th evening of protest ended with a march through the city’s streets. During the march, chants and slogans were heard against the government, the municipal administration and its mayor.
The citizens say they will continue the protest in the coming days, regardless of the number of participants.
