Distribution of 50,000 Liters of Free Drinking Water Begins in Gostivar

Starting today, the Government of North Macedonia has begun supplying the citizens of Gostivar with 50,000 liters of drinking water per day, free of charge.

The measure aims to meet the basic needs of residents while the guidelines and recommendations of the responsible authorities remain active, government officials announced.

The General and Common Affairs Service of the Government will be responsible for distributing the water at the following addresses:

– “Water Management” Enterprise – Gostivar, JNA Street no. 139

– “Prolet” Kindergarten, Beliçica Street no. 47

– Economic High School – Gostivar, Zhivko Brajkovski Street no. 39

– National Park Forests – “Shar” Branch Gostivar, Braqa Xhinoski Street no. 165

– SHA EMV – Branch at the garages, Ilindenska Street

– “Ferid Murad” General Hospital – parking lot, Çede Filipovski Street no. 29

– Territorial Fire Department – Gostivar, Beliçica Street no. 35

Meanwhile, the executive stressed that the relevant institutions are conducting thorough verifications, laboratory analyses, and in-depth investigations to uncover the causes of the current situation.

“We expect a full clarification of the incident and anyone found guilty will face legal consequences. We urge citizens to strictly follow the authorities’ instructions and to seek information only from official sources, so they receive accurate and real-time updates,” the government statement said.

The Government’s top priority remains safeguarding public health, immediate institutional response, and fully overcoming this phase, while continuing to take all necessary steps to support the population until normality is restored.
