VLEN: Health Safety of Gostivar Residents Remains Top Priority

The VLEN coalition has expressed deep concern over the situation created in Gostivar, after the declaration of an epidemic and the increase in cases of people seeking hospital treatment.

“In these circumstances, we emphasize that protecting the population’s well-being, supplying clean water, and transparent, real-time communication about the course of events are the most vital aspects,” declared representatives of the political entity.

They announced that they have not remained indifferent to the crisis. Coordinating actions with state mechanisms, VLEN said that residents of Gostivar are being provided daily with 50,000 liters of free drinking water. This supply will continue through several stations set up in the city, as long as the directives and preventive measures remain in force.

“We are awaiting the swift release of laboratory results and demand that the competent bodies investigate thoroughly, until the full clarification of the origin of the problem. VLEN will monitor developments closely and will work tirelessly to provide the population with any necessary assistance until full normality is restored,” the coalition’s announcement stressed.
