Delayed agricultural subsidy payments to be settled after Budget revision, Hoxha announces

Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Albrim Hoxha, announced that farmers will receive the accumulated subsidy payments as soon as the Budget revision is approved, which is currently being reviewed in the Assembly.

During his speech at the plenary session, Hoxha addressed issues related to food safety and support for the agricultural sector.

He stressed that the relevant authorities are carrying out continuous inspections to ensure food standards, always acting in accordance with the existing legal framework to protect public health and maintain quality.

According to him, the budget revision will provide the necessary funds to cover subsidy payments dedicated to milk production, identified cattle, wheat, other cereal crops, and field crops.

Hoxha also revealed that the Agency is finalizing testing of a new digital platform for subsidy applications to be used in 2026. In order not to penalize any farmer, the deadline for submitting applications has been extended until the end of September, and the new system is expected to be functional in the very near future.

In conclusion, Deputy Minister Hoxha reaffirmed that support for farmers is at the center of the institution’s commitment, pledging regular payments, faster mechanisms, and policies that provide stability and a long-term vision for those who make their living from the land.
