Daniela Dimovska takes the helm of Skopje Criminal Court

At a meeting held today by the Judicial Council, judge Daniela Dimovska was appointed president of the Skopje Basic Criminal Court.

The appointment came after the conclusion of a procedure involving a public announcement, in which two people ran: Daniela Dimovska, a judge and acting president of the Skopje Basic Criminal Court, and Ivica Stefanovski, a judge at the same institution.

The head of the Selection Commission, Ivica Nikolovski, said both candidacies were in order and that the candidates had passed the required tests and interviews. After the report was received and the voting process was completed, Dimovska was elected president.

One year earlier, Dimovska had been chosen as acting president of the Skopje Basic Criminal Court. Before that, she served as a judge in the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption at the same court.
