Crisis Management Center: Of 22 open-air fires, seven remain active

Across the country, 22 open-air fires were recorded by 6:00 p.m. Of these, seven remain active, two have been brought under control, while 13 have been extinguished.

According to a notice from the Crisis Management Center, the active fires are located in the area of the villages of Moranë–Vërtekic–Gaber, where mixed forest is burning, as well as in Batincë, in the Municipality of Studeniçan.

Active fires have also been reported in the village of Paligrad, where low vegetation and forest are burning, as well as in the area known as Vidush, near the village of Dragov Doll and the village of Llokvicë, in the Municipality of Zelenikovë. Low vegetation, low-stemmed forest and scrub are burning in this area.

Fires also remain active in the village of S’lp, in the Municipality of Gorno Sello, as well as in the municipalities of Veles and Zelenikovë, in the territory of the Municipality of Veles. The fire has spread toward the village of Karabunjiste, the village of Buzallkovë and the villages of Dobrinë and Tisovicë, in the Municipality of Zelenikovë, affecting low vegetation, oak and hornbeam forest, as well as quality oak forest.

In the villages of Kopance and Tudence, in the Municipality of Jegunovc, the fire in the mixed forest has spread toward the village of Bojanë, in the Municipality of Saraj. Another active fire was recorded in the village of Çanishte, in the Municipality of Prilep, where low vegetation is burning.

The two fires that have been brought under control are located at waste dumps in the village of Zheleznicë, in the Kratovë region, and in Delçevë.

Of the 13 extinguished fires, one was in the village of Tabanocë, in the area known as Slanishtë, in the Municipality of Kumanovë, where low vegetation had caught fire.

Two fires were extinguished in the Municipality of Krushevë: the first in the villages of Aldanci and Norovo, where low vegetation and degraded low-stemmed oak forest were burning, and the second in the villages of Borino and Zhitoshe, where low vegetation and degraded oak forest had caught fire.

In the Municipality of Prilep, the fire in the area known as Toçila, which had affected low vegetation and crops, was extinguished. The fire between the villages of Vrapçe and Belo Pole, in the Municipality of Dollnen, where low vegetation was burning, was also extinguished.

Operations have also been completed in the village of Kazhani, in the Municipality of Manastir, where low vegetation had caught fire, as well as at a farm in Resnjë, in the Municipality of Resnjë, where apple seedlings were burning.

Fires were also extinguished in the village of Balkanska, in the Municipality of Shtip, where low vegetation was burning, and in the village of Cerovë, in the Municipality of Zhelinë, where the fire had affected low vegetation, scrub and low-stemmed forest.

In the village of Furka, in the Municipality of Dojran, the fire that had affected low vegetation and blackberry bushes was extinguished, while in the village of Delogozhdë, in the Municipality of Strugë, the fire in low vegetation was contained and extinguished.

The fire at the dump in the village of Rosoman, in the Municipality of Rosoman, was also extinguished, as was the fire along the road from the village of Koliçani toward the village of Pagarushë, in the Municipality of Studeniçan, where low vegetation and waste had caught fire.
