CMC: 13 outdoor fires recorded by 1:00 p.m.

The Crisis Management Center announced that a total of 13 outdoor fires had been reported by 1:00 p.m. today. Of these, 2 remain active, 6 have been brought under control, while 5 have been extinguished.

Active fires have been recorded in the Municipality of Mavrovo and Rostuše, where a pasture is burning on Mount Bistra, near Kirilovec, as well as in the Municipality of Struga. There, in the area between the villages of Oktisi and Belica, the flames have engulfed dry grass and straw.

The fires under control are in the Municipality of Zelenikovo, above the village of Paligrad-Preslap, where a mixed forest has been affected; in the Municipality of Saraj, near the village of Kopanica, in low-stemmed woodland and low vegetation; and in the Municipality of Struga, near the villages of Piskupština, Burinec and Lokovo, in low-stemmed woodland.

The situation is also under control in the Municipality of Čučer-Sandevo, near Brest, on Skopska Crna Gora, where a forest is burning; in the Municipality of Gjorče Petrov, near the village of Gračani, on the border with Kosovo, above the village of Kučkovo, where a forest has been affected; and in the Municipality of Struga, between the villages of Burinec and Lokovo, in an area of low vegetation.

Five fires have been extinguished in the Municipality of Šuto Orizari, near Vizbegovo, behind the “New Star” hotel, at a landfill, as well as in the Municipality of Mavrovo and Rostuše.
