Chief Inspector Sula after meeting with Rama and Ibrahimaj: No inspection without notice and outside the program

The General Inspector, Dashnor Sula, took part in the meeting held by Prime Minister Edi Rama and line minister Delina Ibrahimaj with the General Inspectorate and the central inspectorates. Discussions focused on reconceptualizing the approach of inspectorates and inspection bodies toward businesses, beyond the implementation of the legal framework.

During his remarks, Sula made it clear that any inspection that contradicts the rules and procedures set out by law will not be accepted.

“The General Inspectorate will not tolerate any inspection that is carried out without warning and outside the inspection program. We will not allow any legal violation,” Sula declared.

The head of the General Inspectorate stressed that the objective is to create a transparent, regular and lawful inspection process, preventing any abuse against businesses, entities and citizens.

Through the video message, Sula called on citizens to report any case where they have encountered, or allege they have encountered, abusive behavior by inspectors or inspections carried out irregularly.

He explained that citizens can address the General Inspectorate through the complaint mechanisms, so that claims can be verified and, if necessary, appropriate measures can be taken.

His message is part of efforts to strengthen transparency and standardize inspection procedures, with the aim that inspections are carried out only in accordance with the obligations and rules set out by law.
