Braçe on the protests: When deciding for an entire generation, people should be asked

As a guest on “Shqipëria Live,” Socialist MP Erion Braçe commented on the Socialist Party parliamentary group meeting and the protests that have taken place in Tirana.

He said that during the meeting, he and 2-3 of his colleagues gave their views on the protest. Braçe added that Spiropali was not at the meeting, while about Marjana Koçeku he said he had not heard her speak in the parliamentary group.

According to him, some of those taking part in the rally are there because they have not been taken into consideration, while others simply cannot accept the situation. He stressed that these are decisions affecting an entire generation and that when people are told this will be their life in 15 years, it is normal that they should be asked. Braçe also said that many of them have seen the suffering of their grandparents and parents and want a different life from that of their grandmother, grandfather, father, and mother, so decision-making should be built together with them. He added that at the meeting he did not agree with the fact that the incident was described as a trivial beating, because in his view there was more to it than that.
