The former chief prosecutor of Kosovo’s Special Prosecution, Blerim Isufaj, has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court over his dismissal from office.

The news was confirmed by Supreme Court spokesperson Antigona Lutfiu, who said the appeal was filed against the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC).
“Regarding your request, we inform you that the administrative appeal was received on 9 October 2026, bears the number AA.nr.40/2026, and is under review,” Lutfiu said.
The decision to dismiss Isufaj from his position as chief prosecutor of the Special Prosecution was made by the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council on 2 October.
