Berisha opposes law on governor: Rama is seeking protection for himself

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha reacted after the law protecting the governor of the Bank of Albania was approved. He claimed that Prime Minister Edi Rama’s initiative is intended to provide special protection for him and the officials around him.

In a social media post, Berisha called the development unprecedented and described it as a display of an “absolutist regime.”

According to him, the law is not only about the governor of the Bank of Albania, but is also intended to protect the prime minister and his associates.

“Unprecedented in history! An absolutist regime!

Friends, today Edi Rama voted for the law protecting the Bank’s governor when he steals! In reality, the law is for himself!

In Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm,’ all animals are equal, but pigs are more equal than the others! It would be more honest for Edi Rama to legalize theft than to pass special laws to protect himself and his ‘pigs’!”
