Berisha calls Democrats to action: DP is in the final kilometers toward victory, there is no room for lethargy

During a meeting of the National Council of the Democratic Party, its chairman, Sali Berisha, called on Democrats to prepare for a new stage of political action. He described renewal as the essential process that must lead the DP to victory.

According to Berisha, the opposition must go on the offensive, as it is in the “final kilometers” of the road to victory. He also said that support for Edi Rama had fallen significantly in the polls, describing the prime minister as politically dead.

“As Democrats, we must prepare for renewal. We have weathered many developments, and we have now entered a phase in which we must be on the offensive, in the final kilometers, convinced that we are heading toward victory. Our opponent has suffered a 29% decline in the polls and is in political death, including internationally. Rama is politically dead. He has been disfigured and distorted in the eyes of public opinion. Every journalist who has entered his office has left convinced that he is expired and disfigured. He is politically dead,” Berisha said.

He said this situation should serve Democrats as a source of inspiration and motivation to continue the process that has begun. Berisha stressed that the DP has extraordinary potential, accomplished figures and tested leaders, but underscored that the condition for remaining at the forefront of the mission is renewal.

“We must accept that you will carry out this process. We will begin the renewal with ourselves and then extend it to every level. There is no longer any room for lethargy in our ranks,” the DP chairman said.
