Atdhe Hetemi discusses a joint forum with former political prisoners

The Executive Director of the Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo (IKKL), Atdhe Hetemi, met with representatives of the Association of Former Political Prisoners to coordinate preparations for a joint forum on the experiences and testimonies of Kosovo’s former political prisoners.

During the discussion, the forum’s topics, objectives and organizational matters were reviewed. The forum is planned to take place as part of the “A Voice in Memory” series. The discussion also focused on collecting and documenting testimonies, identifying personal materials and including family members’ accounts.

The initiative aims to provide a space to address the experiences of former political prisoners and the consequences of the repression they and their families endured, helping preserve historical memory and pass it on to younger generations.

IKKL and the Association confirmed their commitment to coordinating preparatory activities and holding the forum, as well as continuing their cooperation in documenting and preserving these testimonies.
