Andonovski: The m.Shërbime app will put citizens’ documents on their phones

Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski announced that the m.Shërbime app will enable citizens to store their identity cards, driver’s licenses and other documents electronically on their mobile phones.

Speaking to “360 Degrees,” Andonovski said the app’s demo version was presented a year ago at the Western Balkans Digital Summit in Skopje. Since then, m.Shërbime has been tested by several thousand citizens, while the team has received more than 200 comments. A subsequent analysis identified several functional elements that required improvement.

According to him, another important step was reaching an agreement with the Ministry of the Interior on a data exchange protocol. This institution serves as the source for data related to identity cards and driver’s licenses.

The minister emphasized that including the identity card and driver’s license represents only the first phase in the app’s development.

Andonovski explained that the goal is for m.Shërbime to become a super app and digital wallet where citizens can also keep other documents they frequently use in one place, including certificates and diplomas./Telegrafi/
