Albanians For America: Vučić’s speech at the UN cannot rewrite Kosovo’s history

Following the speech delivered by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić at the United Nations General Assembly, the organization “Albanians For America” issued a critical response.

In a recently published op-ed, the organization emphasizes that Vučić’s speech overlooked a number of important facts, including the war in Kosovo, the legal status of its independence, and the latest developments in Kosovo–Serbia relations.

“Albanians For America’s” analysis examines Serbia’s actions during the conflict in Kosovo, the legal reality of Kosovo’s independence, the Kosovo–Serbia dialogue and, as it stresses, the continuing lack of accountability for the terrorist attack in Banjska.

The organization also highlights Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic orientation and argues that all these facts should be taken into account in international discussions about Kosovo and Serbia.
