Afrim Gashi: North Macedonia Demonstrates That Coexistence Is a Social Value

Speaker of Parliament Afrim Gashi took part in a conference held in Cairo and organized by the League of Arab States, where he represented the Republic of North Macedonia as the keynote speaker.

In his address, he presented the country’s experience of ethnic, cultural and interfaith coexistence, emphasizing the role of dialogue, tolerance and mutual respect in strengthening society.

“It was an honor for me to represent the Republic of North Macedonia in Cairo as the keynote speaker at the conference organized by the League of Arab States.

In my speech, I presented our country’s experience as evidence of ethnic, cultural and interfaith coexistence. I also stressed that diversity should not be viewed as a cause of division, but as an asset that makes society stronger.

I conveyed the position that confronting every form of discrimination and hate speech also constitutes the protection of human dignity, freedom of belief and democratic principles. Dialogue, tolerance and mutual respect remain the only path toward building peace and understanding among people,” said Speaker of Parliament Afrim Gashi.
