Adriatik Dosti supports Bekim Sejdiu for the presidency and criticizes opponents of the agreement

Analyst Adriatik Dosti has commented on the agreement reached between LVV and LDK on the election of Kosovo’s new president, welcoming Bekim Sejdiu’s candidacy as a worthy and unifying choice.

According to Dosti, the agreement between Albin Kurti and Lumir Abdixhiku is in the interest of Kosovo and its citizens, while the candidate is expected to be voted on and approved by the Assembly.

Dosti views Bekim Sejdiu as a figure with a background in law and diplomacy. He highlights Sejdiu’s work as a law professor, former member of the Constitutional Court and former Kosovo ambassador to Turkey, as well as his role as a senior diplomat of the Republic of Kosovo in New York, USA.

The analyst says that Sejdiu meets the requirements to become president of Kosovo and that he can place the interests of the country and its people above those of political parties and leaders. He describes him as a unifying personality whom, in his view, Kosovo needs more than ever.

Dosti ridiculed Dulle Hoti’s opposition to Sejdiu’s candidacy. He recalled that Hoti had declared he would vote against the professor, linking this position to the fact that Sejdiu was among those who had previously brought down his government.

The analyst also referred to the agreement signed by Hoti in Washington, alongside Vučić and opposite Donald Trump, describing it as an almost entirely harmful document for Kosovo’s national interests. According to him, on that occasion Hoti should not have sought to bring down the government, but should have faced prison.

In an ironic tone, Dosti also commented on the reactions of Timja, Ganja, Vlora, Bytyçi and Dudja, who, according to him, have been upset by the agreement between Kurti and Abdixhiku. He said that Ramush Haradinaj and Lushtaku should be furious, while regarding Bedriu and the PDK, he said they had been left completely exposed, especially in the face of the cold winter that is approaching.

Finally, Dosti made an ironic proposal to Prime Minister Albin Kurti: that he take Mediterranean boxing champion Donjeta Sadiku as his personal adviser. He described the athlete as a strong and courageous young woman, suggesting that she could be useful in dealing with the opposition.
