56-Day Popular Resistance: Citizens Refuse to Surrender – ‘All Albania Is Here! Rama, Resign!’

On its 56th day, the popular protest displayed spectacular resistance and unwavering solidarity, as thousands of citizens joined the square from the early evening hours until near midnight.

Chanting for revolution, system change, and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government, they marched for nearly two hours through the streets of Tirana.

Today’s destination was Police Station No. 3, where they demanded the release of two arrested protesters, a young man and a young woman, detained on Thursday in front of Parliament.

“Free the Albanians,” “All of Albania is here with you,” “Down with the patronage system,” “Arrest Rama” were their chants in chorus.
