Hanke said that the so-called “Flamingo Revolution” is gaining increasing momentum, stressing that the time has come for the head of government to pack his bags.
The American economist, who has previously commented on the protests that have continued in Tirana for three months, linked this civic reaction to dissatisfaction with the authorities and opposition to certain development projects.
In support of his position, Hanke also shared an “Al Jazeera” report on the arrival of three vessels from the “Global Sumud Flotilla” on the coast of Vlora.
The ships joined this movement in protest against a project to build a luxury resort linked to businessman Jared Kushner.

According to the organizers, the initiative raises major concerns about land expropriation and environmental protection, becoming one of the key points of civic resistance.
