A successful police operation was carried out today in the north of the country, as a result of the continued cooperation and mutual trust between the Kosovo Police and citizens, who have previously provided important information that helped uncover and confiscate illegal weapons.
According to information obtained during regular communication with citizens, police officers received information that weapons and other illegal items could be located in an uninhabited house in the village of Lucka Reka, in the municipality of Zubin Potok.

After receiving this information, police units responded immediately, taking swift and professional action and conducting a search at the suspected location.
The search resulted in the discovery and seizure of:
– One semi-automatic long firearm;
– 392 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition;
– 123 rounds of 7.9 mm ammunition;
– 15 hunting rifle cartridges;
– 11 long rifle cartridges;
– 3 blank rounds;
– 18 handgun rounds;
– 2 long firearm rounds;
– 6 shell casings of various types;
– 1 bayonet
The State Prosecutor was informed of all actions taken and instructed that a case be opened for the criminal offense of “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons.”
So far, no one has been arrested in connection with this case, while the investigation is continuing by the relevant units.
The Kosovo Police thanked citizens for their trust and continued cooperation, urging them to continue reporting any important information through the emergency number 192. According to the police, only through close partnership between citizens and law enforcement institutions can a calm, safe and peaceful environment be ensured for everyone, without distinction.
