Zakharova Warns London: British Military Targets Could Be Hit Outside Ukraine

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that London and Paris are taking dangerous steps following the decision by France and the United Kingdom to increase military aid to Ukraine and enable it to use advanced technologies.

According to Zakharova, this policy could bring unpredictable consequences for European countries. She specifically mentioned England, warning that Russia could strike British military targets even outside Ukrainian territory. Moscow continues to insist that any foreign forces present in Ukraine which, it says, hinder Russian operations, will be regarded as legitimate military targets.

The warnings come at a time when political tensions between Russia and NATO countries have intensified, as the war in Ukraine continues and Western military aid to Kyiv expands. At the same time, the Kremlin has dismissed reports that Moscow could attack NATO countries, describing them as unfounded and detached from reality.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said that information about a possible Russian attack on NATO is intended only to create fear and does not reflect Moscow’s objectives. He also stated that Russia is facing an increasingly aggressive stance from European countries, while accusing Western media and circles of presenting a distorted version of the situation through speculation about Russian plans.
